Grand Prize!

From June 3-7, 2019, one lucky class will go on an all-expenses-paid trip of a lifetime to Parks Canada places in Manitoba. Our grand-prize winners will discover Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site, where costumed interpreters will explain how a historic agreement with First Nations was made at this incredible stone fort, they will visit Riel House National Historic Site and hear tales of Louis Riel’s life and his struggle to defend Métis rights in Canada, they will go to the Forks National Historic Site, "the heart of the continent", where people have been gathering for 6,000 years! The grand-prize winners will also experience the breathtaking natural beauty and pristine wilderness of Riding Mountain National Park!

The Final 15 Are…

The competition was tough and we admire every class for their efforts during the voting period. We are thrilled to announce the final top 10 photo essays that received the most votes over the course of the complete voting period, and the additional 5 staff picks photo essays. Together, these 15 finalists are now one step closer to winning the grand prize, a trip to Parks Canada places in Manitoba! Congratulations!
